Holly Lindstedt

Holly Lindstedt originally grew up in Curtis, NE and graduated from Medicine Valley. After college and receiving her degree in Business Administration, she married her husband Matt Lindstedt in 2006. Matt was raised in Cozad and works for Union Pacific Railroad and also Ted's Truck and Auto, which is family owned and operated. They decided to make Cozad their home and moved here in 2013. Holly is an Administrative Assistant, licensed in property and casualty insurance, at Shelter Insurance in Cozad.

Holly and Matt have one son, Ashton attending Cozad Elementary. They love being a part of a small town community. Holly enjoys attending all of her child's activities, and she and her husband love being involved with little league baseball. She is a devoted wife, mother, and is very family/community oriented.

Ryan Groteluschen grew up in York, NE and graduated from York High School in 2003.  He attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and Banking in 2009.  Before moving to Cozad he was the Vice President/Branch Manager of a small community bank for 2 years in Gypsum, KS.  In 2014 Ryan and his family moved to Cozad to work as a loan officer for Homestead Bank.

Ryan and his wife Tara, have three kids, Braedon, Adlei and Lucas.  Adlei has her own baking business called Sweets & Fun on Facebook. Tara is the owner of Tara Groteluschen Photography and teaches at CHS. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his kids, being outdoors, golfing and rooting on the Huskers.

Ryan is involved in coaching youth sports his kids are involved in and a board member for the Community Football Club.



James McCrickard is the minister at the Cozad Church of Christ.  James relocated to Cozad from Orlando, Florida on December 31, 2013.  He is a graduate of Florida Christian College (now Johnson University of Florida) and has served in the trenches of the local church ministry since September 1995.   Currently working on his M.DIV.

James is married to Melissa and together they have 3 children, Evan, Amber, and Addyson along with 4 Dachshunds.  James has served as the volunteer local Hospice chaplain as well as a member of the Cozad Rotary Club. He is a big nerd, musician, and gastronome as well as an avid Florida State Seminole and Washington Redskins fan.

Dawn Beans

Dawn Beans grew up in Cozad and attended Cozad High School. She now lives in Cozad with her husband, Steve. They have two sons (Travis and Morgan), and one grandson (Jacob). She is in her thirteenth year of teaching in Cozad.  Dawn teaches business education and students with visual impairments. She received her Business Education degree in 1991 from UNK and her vision endorsement from UNL in 1993, and her Masters from Doane in 2012. She is the Student Council, SkillsUSA, FCCLA, and Assistant-Senior sponsor, Concession Director and started the student-run business, Maker’s Market, at the high school.

In her spare time she enjoys sewing, scrapbooking and spending time with her grandson. She is an avid hockey fan and they are season ticket holders for the Tri-City Storm hockey team.


Samantha Smith grew up in Cozad on the family farm south of town. After graduating from Cozad High School in 2012, she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received her Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Communications in May 2016. Samantha is the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for the Cozad Community Health System. Her husband Connor Smith is a Loan Officer at Homestead Bank in Cozad.

Samantha is a member of the Cozad Development Corporation Board, the Cozad Development Corporation Marketing Committee, and the Cozad Chamber of Commerce’s Agriculture Committee. She is also a member of the Cozad United Methodist Church and Dawson County Cattlemen.

Samantha enjoys traveling with her husband, attending concerts, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.

Mandy Swanson

Mandy Swanson is currently a loan officer at Waypoint Bank. Born and raised in Cozad, Mandy moved to North Platte after graduating high school and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration at Mid-Plains Community College. She worked for Cabela's in North Platte, and then Kearney for 7 years in their Human Resource departments before moving back to Cozad in 2008.

Mandy and her husband, Bud, keep busy with their two children, Easton and Madison. She is active in the Cozad Jaycees, serves on the Business Improvement District Board and recently completed the Dawson Area Development Leadership Program. In her spare time, she enjoys attending local sporting events, reading, boating and spending time with her family.

Brian J. Davis is a partner with Berreckman, Davis & Bazata law office in Cozad.  Brian graduated from Cozad High School in 1997 and went on to receive his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Hastings College in 2001.  That is where Brian met his wife Aimee, and they now reside in Cozad with their three children, Oliver, Julien and Annabelle.

Brian obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2004.  Brian has been practicing law in Cozad since that time and was selected the Outstanding Young Lawyer in Nebraska in 2009.

Brian enjoys all sports and spends much of his spare time coaching Cozad's youth.  This is Brian's second term on the Board of Directors for the Cozad Chamber of Commerce and he has also served on boards for Cozad Child Care, Cozad Youth Baseball, and is also currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Cozad Development Corporation.
