Sandra Bappe was born and raised on a farm near Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. She married Mike Bappe, also a Lexington graduate, in 1980 and together they raised two children. Their son, Shane Bappe, graduated from Cozad High School in 2002 and is employed at Baldwin Filter in Quality Control with a degree in Business Administration/Entrepreneurship. Their daughter, Amy (Bappe) Lauby, graduated from Cozad High School in 2004 and is currently the Adminsitrator for Craig HomeCare in Grand Island with an RN degree.

Sandra has been employed as a Computer Instructor/LAN Manager at the Cozad Elementary schools and more recently, as the Office Manager at the Tri-City Tribune. She has her certification in Web Design and is a self-taught learner in Apple laptop repair, Photoshop, iMovie and many other aspects of multi-media and software applications.

Sandra and her husband, Mike, have led youth groups in Lexington and Cozad for nearly 21 years and are currently leading a Young Adult Bible Study in their home.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, children and 4 grandsons, boating, gardening, traveling and working closely with the people and businesses in Cozad.

 

Misti Maddox

Misti Stark Maddox has joined the Cozad Chamber as an assistance in November 2016. She is also the Secretary at the American Lutheran Church, were she is also a member. She works there in the mornings and will be at the Chamber Office in the afternoons. She is a mother of 2 boys, Andrew 9 and Charles 6, that both attend Cozad Elementary.

 

She has been raised in Cozad her whole life. Born to Ron and Carol Stark, Ron worked at Tenneco/Monroe for over 43 years until they closed the doors and now is retired. Carol has been employed at Nebraska Plastics for over 24 years now, and at one time Carol owned and managed Carol’s Balloons; a business in Cozad in the 90’s.

 

Misti graduated from Cozad High School in 1998. She has always wanted to work in the administration field. Even in high school she was an office aid and did a lot of study in computers and journalism. She still enjoys taking and editing pictures and learning new computer programs. She knows her community well and is excited to help promote and encourage the people and businesses of Cozad.
