Karmen Morse joined the Cozad Chamber of Commerce as the Executive Director on March 12, 2018.  Aside from a few years attending college at McCook Community College, she has lived her entire life in Cozad.  She married her husband Mark in 1991.  He works for Orthman Manufacturing in Lexington as a CNC operator.  Karman and Mark have a daughter Amberlyn, who graduated from UNK in May of 2018 and is working as a preschool teacher for Pumpkin Patch Daycare in Kearney and is married to Nick Cullers. They also have a son Kolton who currently attends UNK and is working on a degree in computer science.  Karmen is a devoted wife, mother and is very family and community oriented.

 

Karmen is a member of the Cozad Ambassadors where she is currently serving as president.  She attends the Cozad United Methodist Church where she serves on numerous committees.  She helps with the Cozad Boy Scout troop 1189 where she is on there parent committee and as a merit badge counselor.  She also is on the Cozad Housing Authority board and the treasurer of the Cozad Country Club board.

 

Karmen enjoys reading, attending car shows and community activities and events and loves spending time with her family and friends.


 

 

 

Misti Maddox

Misti Stark Maddox joined the Cozad Chamber as an assistance in November 2016. She is also the Secretary at the American Lutheran Church, were she is also a member. She works there in the mornings and will be at the Chamber Office in the afternoons. She is a mother of 2 boys, Andrew 10 and Charles 7, that both attend Cozad Elementary.

 

She has been raised in Cozad her whole life. Born to Ron and Carol Stark, Ron worked at Tenneco/Monroe for over 43 years until they closed the doors and now is retired. Carol has been employed at Nebraska Plastics for over 25 years, and at one time Carol owned and managed Carol’s Balloons; a business in Cozad in the 90’s.

 

Misti graduated from Cozad High School in 1998. She has always wanted to work in the administration field. Even in high school she was an office aid and did a lot of study in computers and journalism. She still enjoys taking and editing pictures and learning new computer programs. She knows her community well and is excited to help promote and encourage the people and businesses of Cozad.
